Our Junior High ministry, Faith Builders, is focused on instruction in the Christian faith. The 7th
graders have the option of taking an intro to the Bible class with our Lay Minister Mr. Jerry
Schreck on Wednesday's 3:45-4:45. Our 8th graders have family confirmation on Sunday
mornings at 9:30, and Wednesday confirmation class team taught by Pastor Mark Cutler and
Pastor Greg DeMuth from 3:45-4:45. In our family confirmation program Mr. David Topp
helps students and their parents learn about and discuss the Christian faith as presented in
Luther's Small Catechism. The conversation is fun and lively. Wednesday confirmation focuses
on scripture memory and applying what we learn in the catechism. One week we may be
talking about creationism-on another week it might be the sanctity of life. Pastor's Cutler and
DeMuth have very different teaching styles that appeal to a wide range of learners.
New This Year
In the Fall of 2008 we will be meeting the first Wednesday of the month from 5-6:30 pm in our
newly completed youth center right after confirmation class. Bring $2 for pizza and drinks.
Seventh graders can come over to the youth center directly after school. An adult volunteer
will escort them from the church lobby. Eighth graders will come over after confirmation.
Like all youth ministry activities, we need parent volunteers to chaperone. If there are activities
