Trinity Lutheran Student Ministries desires to play a special role in your family's life. Our job is to provide a youth ministry program that affirms and grows the spiritual life of each student. We also desire to help equip you as parents to provide spiritual leadership in your homes. God has chosen the family to be the greatest place of influence for nurturing faith and values. We are excited to partner with you in the mission of raising strong children.
So that you know what your child will experience while in our care, we have posted a vision and values statement on the about us page. In addition to this, we are committed to your child's physical and emotional safety. Expectations are shared at each activity. If there is any physically unsafe behavior, the activity is immediately stopped, and the group redirected. We have a zero tolerance policy regarding put-downs, name calling, and any form of bullying. Students who engage in these kinds of behaviors will be warned, and then asked to step aside from the activity to speak with one of our activity leaders. It is our desire to lovingly redirect and restore your child through the love of Jesus.
We would like to share three amazing parenting resources with you. Plugged in is a web magazine that evaluates movies, games, and music from a Christian perspective. Through it, you can get insight on what you children are listening to and watching in the media. Focus on the Family is a rich resource for parenting, the family as a whole, and strengthening marriages. The third resource comes from Search Institute. Search Institute's 40 Developmental Assets® are concrete, common sense, positive experiences and qualities essential to raising successful young people.
With love to you and your family in Jesus,
Rev. Gregory A. DeMuth, M.A. CGS Pastor of Youth and Family
